As a reasonably long-time (5 years) 4GL programmer, I would honestly say that ID is the very best reason for going RDS. If someone is that good a programmer that they never need to debug a program, I'll hire them *now* :-) Another reason for using RDS is that you never have to worry about the vagaries of your C-compiler. Maybe I'm just lazy, but I haven't advised my customers to go anything but RDS since 1990.
