Hello,
What you can do is that when you dbimport you can
change your locking mode of the tables to page by
writing small sql script. And you do your dbexport,
when you import it back it will use only page level
locks whick will be substancially less. After
import is complete change the locking mode to row
level . Hope things helps !!!
Cheers
