I'd be happy if they would maintain the documentation properly, especially
all the env variables should be documented steady, ie if it appeared in Rel
Notes in release A than it should be documented in The Book in consequentive
releases if only it is not discontinued. Check Rel Notes for 7.14 and The Book
for 7.20. The variables listed in RN in 7.14 are still valid in 7.20, but if you
never find those in The Book for 7.20
Also my megawish is that Informix QA worked much harder to catch those pesky
bugs much earlier. How is it possible to introduce new bugs in dbimport/dbexport
after all those years it was around ?!
The bottom line is - we need quality much more than those numerous gimmecks
about megatechnology which work well for managers but not for the people who use
and support the product.
Cheers
