Better done by 'PATH=$INFORMIXDIR/bin:$PATH', rather than by using
explicit path. My choice would be in crontab:
<cron details> my_cron -i <informix-dir> -t <type> -s <script>
where 'my_cron' is a script in '/usr/bin' which works it's way
through the arguments using them to setup the Informix & Unix
environment, finally runnning the 'script' against the correct
program as indicated by '-t'.
Easy to alter when testing new Informix etc. and I prefer passing
parameters & arguments to setting hardcoding it all in the script.
