Data conversion from Informix "2.10.06"

I have a old archive with Informix 2.10.06. File name have extension ".dat" and ".idx". Is possible to convert this file in ascii format ? You have to have the same version of Informix to unload data to ascii. Also you have to have the complete contents of the database directory including all system tables.
