No, it means that module nmenu.o in library libnmenu.a called function referrline which was not found in any library listed after libnmenu.a in the link list. You could try to find which library contains the function this way: for library in $INFORMIXDIR/lib/lib*.a $INFORMIXDIR/tools/lib*.a do echo $library nm $library 2>/dev/null | egrep referrline | fgrep -v UNDEF done The 'nm' command lists all object names in the library, the egrep filters for the name (referrline) that you are looking for and the fgrep -v will eliminate references leaving only definition records. Since grep/egrep/fgrep will not report the filename they are looking at from a pipe or a single file the echo $library will list the libraries as they are scanned so that you can see which contains the definition of 'referrline'. Once you have found the correct library you can add it to the cfglgo script after the other libraries. Art S. Kagel
