-908 error: Too Many processes/Network Congestion

Hi there. Has anyone had experience with -908 errors? Using dbaccess across a socket, we have intermittent timeouts. Ping works fine between the two machines, but we can't get any Informix connections opened. Works OK from other clients, and the problem moves around from client to client. I have a case opened with Informix, but any help would be appreciated, as this is becoming a chronic problem. Let me know if you are interested in the results I get from tech support ...
