default isolation level depend on the way you're using your db (ansi, log, etc.); i don't known which language you are using: i had this problem with visual basic and i used an "sqlexec" to run the correct "set isolation to .." (in passthrough mode) or a stored procedure in a dummy select that do this for me. be aware that i-cli open different session if you are using or not passthrough!! i hope it can help. ciao r.
