Can someone clarify the : details ! My Information is restricted upto V 7.2X. : Gopi. Version 8 is the Extended Parallel Server (XPS) system that is available on several platforms, such a AIX clusters, DEC clusters (?), and promised on Intel clusters such as the recent award-winning Stratus RADIO system. XPS was the "big deal" of last year's Worldwide User Group's conference. It provides distributed processing over several loosely coupled, "shared nothing" systems. Right now, this product is limited to some pretty high-end hardware, but when they release the Intel cluster version we'll see some quantum jumps in TPC per buck performance.
