Hi all,
When I run a ontape -s -L 0 and then by mistake I run ontape -s -L 2, instance
generate an af file, but aditionally last ontape never ends until I send a
CTRL+C.
I reviewed that are ontape threads that remaind running for certain perdio of
time.
Is there any tip to avoid this mistake?
And another question. Is there a chance to make a clean abort for ontape?
Because if you run ontape -s -L 0 and you loose your terminal session. it
happens like above.
Thank you for your help.

I would do 2 kills: one from the OS standpoint, and the other one from the
database standpoint.
OS: of course ctrl-c and/or ps -eaf | grep ontape, then kill -9, just make
sure no more "ontape" process out there.
DB: onstat -g ntt | grep ontape, onmode -z on the sessions if there is any
left.
