The Window Painter shouldn't really be used to code your whole application. Use the handlers purely to call functions. We probably use the Window Painter less than 5% of the time. The rest of the time, we use Codewright. In fact, we have built a whole NewEra environment in Codewright including chroma coding, makefile generation, compilation, PVCS links, helpfile access, template code generation, and automatic recognition of user-defined classes and members. This means we don't have to use the application builder, source compiler, and runner. Informix will probably bundle Codewright with NewEra v3. David W Chan GO5 Ltd dwc@cix.compulink.co.uk
