There can be occasions where what makes it through the 4gl compiler does not make it through on of the other two. Look at the main.ec file and see what lives on line 784. Look around and see if what resides there resides somewhere else. 2 - DEFINE run_cmd CHAR(200) (god is my syntax right anymore?) LET run_cmd = "rm filename" RUN run_cmd You will find a nice example of c-code to do this at www.iiug.org which will give you fewer problems with things like screen clearing and such. Beware - if you use a return code you wil probably have to div it by 256. 3 - see 2. cheers j. (perhaps a bit rusty, but working on it)
