Compiled 4gl 6.01 UD1 Problem

Folks, We experiencing some serious problems. Platform: IBM RS6000 model 340 (development platform), AIX 3.2.5 Engine: 7.10.UC2 I4GL: 6.01.UD1 After experiencing a whole set of bugs under compiled 4gl 6.00.UE1 for the past week, we received the 6.01.UD1 upgrade which was supposed to fix all the bugs we found and reported from 6.00.UE1. After we got past the extremely lengthy compiles in this version, and after we have performed the operating system patch (not documented in the release notes) so that we can once again create executable code, we are now to the point where every construct statement in all of our code fails. This short test program demonstrates the problem: database vth main define p_test record case_number like species.species end record define where_clause char (300) open window w_test at 3,3 with form "test" attribute (border) display "Before construct" at 1,1; sleep 3 construct by name where_clause on species.species display "After construct" at 2,1; sleep 3 close window w_test end main database vth screen size 24 by 80 { species [f000 ] } end tables species attributes f000 = species.species; end The second display statement is never executed. Immediately after you press the accept key, you are kicked out of the program with no error message(s). At any rate, unless I am just being extremely dense here (entirely possible), or perhaps tech support or one of you folks can pull a miracle out of your hat, we will be forced to go back to 6.00.UE1 and attempt to find work arounds for all of the bugs we have been plagued with. Any help appreciated... and if there is none, take this as a warning to set aside enough time to throughly test this "minor" upgrade (either 6.00.UE1 or 6.01.UD1) before going to it.
