Mac Client Software for Informix

Sorry but my ownersip of "WingZ" is presently my only dealings with Informix products, so this will be a novice question (BTW, where's your FAQ?) My friend (not a client) is interested in an Informix solution with a Mac client (other than a spreadsheet), and relevant middleware products. The reason for the posting instead of a call to Informix is to hear of working solutions and (hopefully) working-level caveats. As far as level of detail in the answer desired, go as techincial as you want. I currently program using the mac as a client to <another> unix-hosted server database using SQL and middleware, so hopefully that makes things pretty clear. Either e-mail or posted replies are fine.
