Checkpoint problem.

Hello, guys! Our Informix server has stoped three times for a month. tbstat shows that all user processes (except two) are waiting for process "ckpt" which seems to be a checkpoint process. I noticed that in the Informix log file there were missing checkpoints for about 30 minutes before every crash. What may be the reason of checkpoints missing?
