Hi
We are using Baan Ivc4 with Infomix 7.23Uc4 on solaris 2.5.1
I killed a a batch process i.e. Update Sales Statistics in Baan and
there at about 90 users were logged in. When I executed the onstat -
command, The following message was printed:
INFORMIX-Online Version 7.23UC4 -- Online(LONGTX) -- UP 14:020:48 --
426464KB BLOCKED:LONGTX
What does LONGTX means? What I understand that LONGTX are water marks
for the long transaction.
Can anybody explain the onstat - message?
thanks

As you suspect the engine is in the middle of a long transaction rollback.
This can take as long as the transaction which caused it was running in
some circumstances. So if you killed that app after 5 hours of runtime
then it MAY take up to 5 hours to complete rolling back, or it may have
finished in a few minutes. It depends mostly on how many rows were
affected by the transaction in the first place.
