I have added two lines to my SERVICES file (we are running FTP software). One for sqlexec on 1525, and one for online5 at 1991 (this last was Intersolv's suggestion). Still no luck. I ran snoop on a sun box pointed at my PC, and at the point where ILOGIN is supposed to be trying, there is no network activity at all. I thought the "getservbyname" might mean it can't find the server name (which is in the host table), so I have been trying with the IP address. Still no luck....
