ANNOUNCE: Informix on Linux Digest Subscriptions Now Available

The Informix-on-Linux Mailing List now has yet another feature, daily digests. A daily digest allows you to subscribe to all the posts to the mailing list for each day. This does not allow you to submit posts. Sometime around midnight EST the digest is assembled. To subscribe: Put : subscribe linux-informix-digest in the BODY of an email Send to: majordomo@iiug.org You can also subscribe to the regular mailing list as well: Put : subscribe linux-informix in the BODY of an email Send to: majordomo@iiug.org You must subscribe to the regular mailing list to be able to post to it. First Week: We have seen a great deal of interest from distributors and the general readership regarding Informix on Linux. Our biggest stopgap seems to be in getting Informix decision makers to participate in the discussion. I've suggested steering clear of icebergs to Informix management, but there's only so much one person can say or do. (Excuse me it's my turn to play the piano...) Seems like there are plenty of Informix employees supporting Informix software on Linux, we just need to get the right management to commit to the discussion, and the simple decision to just do it. A framework of a document for the business case has been suggested, and is at my site, just follow the links, you can't miss 'em. Your participation and discussion in this exciting mailing is greatly encouraged, and hoped for. The suggested document needs some critique. If there is anyone out there with a template for business cases, please share it with me, so we can use it. I wish I could tell you who is watching, this COULD be a great moment for Informix if they get it done.
