Hi,
yes, correct. Whenever ontape restore requires a tape with a specific
logical log backed up, you give it the tape where this logical log backup
begins. (It is possible, that a logical log backup begins on one tape,
but then continues on the next tape because the tape became full
before the backup of the log file could be completed.)
ontape and IDS server will figure out themselves which log records
need to be applied and do so. It will then ask for the next tape
to continue. You don't need to think too much about this.
The only things you need to do is to know, which logical logs got
backed up to which tape, and provide the tapes accordingly.
