Was the engine bounced since the LTAPEDEV was set to /dev/null? If you answered this earlier, sorry. As an aside, how many people who use mirroring have ever needed their logical tapes? We never have, and are debating discontinuing logging to tape (it causes, as I'm sure you know, a lot of headaches). -Richard
