Be very carefull if you are using V5. It was over a year ago that I saw
these bugs and I cannot remember the exact details. We were using 5.00
and later upgraded to 5.05. I don't know which version the bug was in.
1) Make sure that the tape size you are using is an exact multiple of
the block size.
2) If you are using blobs, there is a bug in the tape header if you use
the -f parameter.
We found these bugs while rebuilding a 45Gb database after an earlier
corruption. ;-( We only managed to import our data after having
Informix support dialled into our machine at all hours of the day and
night creating and uploading patches.
