Loging and No Log Data Base

Informix Engine: 5.02.UC9 Unix System: UNIX RS6000 AIX 3.2 Tape drive device: /dev/rmt2 If I have a data base with logging and another data base without logging, can the two data bases access each other tables via selects coded in 4gl (4.12.UE2)? I know we can not write (update,delete,insert) across databases. Thanks for any response.
