Hi, Many thanks to all of you who replied to this, so far that's: Tracy, Sandy, Jack, Robert, Brian and Sujit. Most suggestions were of the form: dbschema -d database -t all, and then edit the file, whichwas what the best I had come up with. Sujit offered me a 4GL program, but unfortunately we don't have 4GL here (thanks anyway). Robert sent me a shell script which should automate the process. I'm going to have a play with that later!!
