Specifically, it had to do with entering >an infinite loop when a certain key sequence was pressed or the like. There are two unrelated bugs that pertain to your question: 1) bug 11364, in which an INPUT ARRAY can be made to hang by trying to key past the end of an AUTONEXT field if it is the last field in the record. 2) bug 12343, in which window opens and closes while within a MENU statement can result in the menu lines (the menu itself plus its helpline) getting visually clobbered. >Could some kind soul please repost/mail me the solution/work-around >to this problem with a brief description. There isn't a trivial workaround to (1); you have to take AUTONEXT off the field or add another phony field at the end of the record. As for (2), you can reissue an OPTIONS MENU LINE FIRST, MESSAGE LINE FIRST+1 (or whatever the desired line positions are if not the defaults) immediately after the CLOSE WINDOW that is causing the problem. >Thanks. >Dave Deisz uunet!support!dgd These are fixed on some platforms. If you are on the Pyramid 98xx (I can't remember which model you guys are on), there's a 4.10.UC3 with the 11364 fix that's been shipping since February. If you're on the T series running OSX 5.1a, there's a 4.10.UC4 version which also has the 11364 fix (and I think you have this in-house already). -- Alan Denney aland@informix.com {pyramid|uunet}!infmx!aland "Wealthy, the spirit that knows its own flight Stealthy, the hunter who slays his own fright Blessed, the traveler who journeys the length of the light." - Dan Fogelberg, "Nexus"
