One question about CPU VP's. We are running 2 400Mhz processors on HP UNIZ IDS 7.31.FC2. I have read in the newsgroups that some people have seen an increase in performance by having 2 CPU VP's per real CPU. I did this a few weeks ago and I have noticed that my total KAIO I/O per second has increased. My question is: where else should I be looking to find out what impact adding 2 more CPU VP's had on my system. Run vmstat, top, etc and monitor memory usage and CPU utilization to make sure IDS is not eating the machine (unless of course this is a dedicated server in which case who cares). Art S. Kagel
