If you check latest IIUG presentations you'll see a customer saying it uses it. My personal feeling is that MOST customers don't want this to happen automatically. For various reasons they want to be alerted ASAP but they prefer manual intervention. I recently was involved with a customer that does automatic failover, but he's using HACMP. Customers wanting to do this should use the connection manager or some customized script. DRAUTO as is used to work (pre connection manager) is not good enough. Not because is has bugs, but simply because it relied solely on the fact that one server could not see the other. And that should not be enough to trigger a failover. Regards.
