Hello All, IDS 10.00.FC11 (I don't drive the train) linux & Solaris General question. Can cores be equated to CPUs for allocating cpuvps? Can you hold a core up to a cpu definition and use them/it the same? Thanx, Dan
Hi Dan, Yes, you can consider a core as a cpu to allocate cpuvp. Celso Cabral Coimbra Administrador de Banco de Dados ClearTech Ltda "Trust at the heart of Communications" Tel. Yes . Processes will run on cores; oninits will run on cores. When you tune the number of CPU VPS, base it on the numbers of cores just li= ke you would have done with CPUs if you did not have cores . As a matter of fact , IBM bases the licensing on cores if you are on PVUs.
