Hi Luse, You said >>> >> >> Anyone know how to stop the 'Logical Log Complete' messages from appearing >> on the system console on an IBM RS600 system running Aix, and Informix 7 ? > >Find the log_full.sh file and comment out the last line: ># exit $EXIT_STATUS > >(Is a Miami Vice any different than regular vice?) > Thanks for this suggestion - pretty well all the other replies suggested setting CONSOLE to /dev/null - which, whilst effective, does leave one wondering what OTHER messages might be missed that are really important. Thanks, Don PS I have heard that Gay Guys like their vice-versa !
The "other messages" that you refer to are all stored in the message log
file. Onstat -m will display the tail (last 20 or so lines) of the file.
For more info you can look at the file itself.....(its location is stated
in the first line of the onstat -m output).
