Informix Enterprise Replication

Hi All, Is there anyone out there who has setup ER on 7.31.UD1. Im trying to implement a proof of concept for replicating two of our sites. Im runnig with Online 7.31.UD1 on Sun Solaris platform. I have configured my sqlhosts files according to the Replication guide, see below: ############### SQLHOSTS FILE ####################### g_pocmel group - - i=1 pocmel ontlitcp mel-log inf_repl g=g_pocmel pocmel_shm onipcshm mel-log pocmel g=g_pocmel #g_pocsyd group - - i=2 pocsyd ontlitcp syd-log inf_repl g=g_pocsyd pocsyd_shm onipcshm syd-log pocsyd g=g_pocsyd ############### END OF FILE ###################### I have tested both connections between each other and both are ok. However, when I try and run the any cdr command, I get the following error: cdr define server --send=quedbs --recv=quedbs --init pocmel INFORMIXSERVER not defined in environment $ cdr list serverINFORMIXSERVER not defined in environment No matter what cdr command I run, I get this type of response back. My INFORMIXSERVER variable is of course set, however I think the problem lies somewhere else. Very frustrated at the moment Can anyone help out here! Or send me some white papers (not from the Replication guide, I have read this guide over and over !) Thanks in advance. Alex

1) Er likes group names, not not the INFORMIXSERVER name 2) remove the onipcshm from the group... All members of a group are equivalent network interfaces to the server. A TCP and a SHM interface is not equivalent because the TCP is usable by a remote client and the SHM interface is not.
