Hi, There are two ways you can connect to Informix Online from PB application. 1. Using PB native driver for INformix7.x 2. Using ODBC However you still need I-Net(now its called I-Connect) from Informix on your client. Through I-connect you specify your host, database, protocol, server name etc. Then PB application uses these information to connect to your database. If you use first method you skip ODBC part, and if you use ODBC you have to specify a Data Source (use odbcadmin utility to set a data source). This data source should specify your host, database etc and the driver. <<There is a BUG if you use PB native driver for Informix7.x>> HTH, if you need further information read connecting to databases supplied with PB. We are using, Informix Online 7.12, Window 95, PB5.0.02, Informix-CLI 2.50 Regards Reddy JCDC.
