Cannot create/access database on NFS mount.

Help! I've read every post on this board, and looked over a number of documents. sqlhosts is reconfigured and running, listening on 1536. What am I doing wrong? (Connecting from XP SP2, using both IBM's ODBC and OpenLinks, same result, to AIX 4.x.)
