we have Informix database on Redhat LINUX server. Due to primary DBA off, I
need temporary take care the Database.
My questions are:
1. how to check which user login to database? (on ORACLE we can use select
username from v$session)
2. does there has way check user login to which database on LINUX command?
("onstat -u" only show user login, but did not say which database)
Thanks.

user is what you are after, it is a reserved word like today is...;
select user from systables where tabname = 'systables' or a selectuser from someothertable.

onstat -g sql -->> will give you sessionids which can be queried like:
select dbinfo("sessionid" ) from systables where tabname =
'systables' or...
or select * from sysmaster:syssessions where sid = dbinfo
("sessionid" ) or...
select * from sysmaster:sysopendb where odb_sessionid = dbinfo
("sessionid" )
this will also tell you the name of the db.
Superboer.
