Load Online archives on other machine ?

Hello. We are currently experiencing problems with creating & restoring Online archives on one of our client's two machines. We are thinking of reloading level 0 archives from both machines onto our system to see if the tapes work, any differences can be found, etc. Question: when reloading an Online archive, how far do we have to go in duplicating the client's Online system ? It's fairly straightforward to create their dbspaces and chunks in terms of the names involved, but is it a name-based archive ? I seem to recall hearing that dd is used which tends to suggest it just starts at point 0 and dumps everything. If we have to duplicate names, device names, offsets, etc, we'll have to think of something else (or hire a disk temporarily - yuck).
