The databases you can see in dbaccess are the databases listed in the
file
$INFORMIXDIR/etc/sqlhosts
What you can do is create more sqlhosts files with different content and
then set
the environment variable INFORMIXSQLHOSTS to the sqlhosts file with the
databases
you want to be visible.
Remember, to be able to see the name of a database in dbaccess, is not
the same
as having connect permission to the database. So maybe you should also
consider
GRANT/REVOKE CONNECT. There's also some quite nice things you can do
with the
CREATE/SET ROLE facility.
best regards
