I do not know of any that support both tli and sockets! Since tli is the System V.4 native network library and sockets is the BSD native network library. Systems which provide both do so by layering a sockets interface over TLI or TLI over sockets. Using the non-native library can make for portable source but is inherently inefficient so Informix almost always uses the native interface. In the case of OWG for Windows NT WinSock is native but the sqlhosts entry treats this as TLI. Art S. Kagel
