You can't go wrong with Microsoft. Their stuff may not be the best, but it will do anything the other products can, and it integrates seamless, especially when it comes time to port from the desktop- to an intranet/internet setup. ] I think that people are anti Microsoft because they are so huge, and successful. You have to take where your company will be 5-10 years down the road, and I believe jumping on the Microsoft bandwagon now, will make transition/changes down the road that much easier. All the rebels out there screaming "Sybase", "UNIX", "MAC" are doing so because that is what they are familiar with but the fact is Microsoft is here to stay. Microsoft defines operating systems/browsers and the tools used within- not to mention the security layers, and how applications 'talk' to each other. They may not have done it first- but they have made the greatest impact on the market. Their technical support blows away all others- check their knowledge base for instance, and I can ALWAYS find an answer in the 100+ newsgroups that exists. Your CHOICE, my OPINION-- so flamers need to respond. btw- from what I've seen of SQL 7.0 in terms of speed/performance, it blows all the peer products away and gives Oracle a run for it's money. >Ade Atobatele wrote: >> >> 5.
