RE: DBLoad Syntax

Hi Mitch!
You must create your_command_file, such as the following:
--begin command file--
FILE your_fixed_recposition_data_file (code 1-3, name 4-30, zipcode 31-35)
INSERT INTO your_table VALUES (code,name,zipcode)
---end command file---
Then at the command prompt type:
dbload -d your_database -c your_command_file -l your_errorlog_file

Subject: DBLoad Syntax
I need to access a file with fixed record positions. The new manuals do
not seem to include description of the DBLoad syntax for specifying where
columns begin and end, column types, etc. Could someone forward the syntax
to me? Thanks in advance.
Mitch
