However I seem to recall that it is something to do with the Apache mod_env it is probable that the precompiled version of Apache with your system has omitted this module - you can include it by recompiling Apache with the appropriate configuration. I cant seen any reason though that you shouldnt do $ENV{'DBPATH'} = $ENV{'DBPATH'} .
