several options come to mind:
1) check into setting your LTXHWM and LTXEHWM configuration varaiable (you
dont say which version of online you are running, these variables
became available with v5, i think).
2) turn the buffered logging off prior to running this application using the
tbtape utility and then turn logging back on after running the app.
3) break the application up into smaller chuncks.
4) possibly change the application to do
a) output the data to a fixed format data file
b) use dbload to load from the fixed format data file into the table
with -n <some small number>, breaking the massive load into many
smaller transactions.
