I'd go over all of the parameters that affect shared memory and rethink them to get max use of the memory you have. You might post your HW config, ONCONFIG file, and what dbspaces are overwhelmed to get better advice. Memory these days shouldn't cost that much really, as cheap as $1500 per gigabyte on low end machines, no worse than $10,000-$15,000 on really high end ones. Have the apps seen any performance tuning at all?? Frequently it's just lousy app code that's chewing resources - no amount of hardware would help them. Good Luck - Greg
