Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Are you doing your archive to a single dat device? Do you have spare
disk drives laying around? When I was confronted with this problem I
created multiple archive directories on cooked drives. Then I defined
multiple dbspace groups for my archive and ran it in parallel. Then I
ran tar scripts to take the disk backups to off site storage. If you
could elemenate this step it would be even better. One word of caution
is if you go to disk individual dbspace archives can't exceed 2gb unless
your os is 64 bit architecture.
