Its a kernel parameter. Number of file descriptors (NOFILES ? ) I think.
It is one of the parameters in your release notes with a description of one
of these may need to be increased.

-25574 Network driver cannot open the network device
I'm getting the above on with Informix 7.31 UC5 on a SCO 505 server. What
seems to have caused this is an increase in the number of users. Where
would I start for increasing something in the onconfig file?
