I've come across a situation that annoys users: A cursor is declared with an sql statement that returns ~30000 rows The first row is displayed after a reasonable delay User chooses an option which executes FETCH NEXT ROW There is delay as long as the initial search before next row is displayed From here on out FETCH NEXT and FETCH PREVIOUS execute quickly. Has anyone seen this before? is there a way to put all the seeking time into the first delay? I'm running Informix v4.00 Thanks for any hints, -- -joe "Honey, they're in *everybody's* eggs" --firesigns
