ReportSmith/ODBC

We are trying to use ReportSmith via Informix CLI 2.5 ODBC driver, but ReportSmith generates SQL with a period(.) between the database name and the table name where Informix expects a colon(:). ReportSmith tech-support has not been much help. Does anyone have any experience with this? If there is no way to fix this within ReportSmith, is there an ODBC driver setting that will make it work?
