In your sqlhosts file I assume that I4080001 is defined as a shared
memory connection (onipcshm) and that the others are networked
(ontlitcp). How are you trying to connect from the PCs? With what
INFORMIXSERVER name? If I4080001 that will only work if you change the
service on the clients for I4080001 to one of the services used by a
networked connection. Do you have UNIQUE services for each connection
alias and for the DBSERVERNAME (you must)?
So your sqlhosts on the server should show (in part):
I4080001 onipcshm sni1 sqlmemsvc
s40800011 ontlitcp sni1 sqlnetsvc1
O.s1 ontlitcp sni1 sqlnetsvc2
...
On the client though, in setnet32, you can use:
Host Servername Protocol Service
------ ---------- -------- -------
sni1 s40800011 olsoctcp sqlnetsvc1
sni1 I4080001 olsoctcp sqlnetsvc1
snil O.s1 olsoctcp sqlnetsvc2
