Hi, there is someone that use SE on a Unixware 7.0.1 computer ? I have problem with the interrupt key ( DEL ). If i use it to interrupt a select, the process hang. I don't have this problem on other OS ( SCO OPENSERVER, DG/UX, HP/UX, SCO XENIX). If you use it and have or not the problem, let me know. Thanks, Jean-Guy Charron systhem@odyssee.net
I'm using INFORMIX-SE 7.23 with UnixWare 7.0.1 and can not duplicate the condition you describe. Is there any chance the terminal setting are different between the different systems you are using (check stty -a)? Thanks Don,
And example of the problem is using DBACCESS, try this script:
select *
from some_table_with_about_1000_records
into temp x
with no log;
When "running..." appears hit the DEL key.
Normally you should receive the message
"213: Statement interrupted by user.".
But I don't receive any message and DBACCESS hang. I should kill it.
Does it work for you ?
Can you send me a copy of your stty -a ?
What are the patch of Unixware do you have install ?
Do you install PTF7052B ?
Thanks a lot for your help,

Dear Jean-Guy, we use also I-SE 7.x (specially 7.2x) in an UW 7.01 environment. We developing Client/Server-Applications under NewEra 3.11. Your Error cannot reproduced in our configuration. Sorry. Perhaps, you use an older version of I-SE (7.1 or earlier, i.e for SCO-OpenDesktop)? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Jean-Guy Charron schrieb: > Hi, > there is someone that use SE on a Unixware 7.0.1 computer ? > > I have problem with the interrupt key ( DEL ). Jean-Guy:
I set my intr=^c (Ctrl+c). If you run stty -a and see something else you
will need to set the interrupt to the correct character. With further
testing, where intr=DEL the Ctrl+Backspace combo worked at interrupting the
select statement.
