Cooked Space Problem

Informix Online 7.2 running on Solaris (sparc) I was cleaning up some old databases and files and I believe I removed a cooked file! The databases that use this dbspace appear to be working fine. I guess everything is in memory or something. What's going to happen if I restart the server? I can restore the file from an old backup but I'm trying not to lose many days of data. Any suggestions?
