Will 9.5 auto-drop freed extents?

Will IDS 9.5 automatically drop freed table extents? If not, can this be added as a feature request (or where is the suggestion box for such requests). This is one of the few things Oracle does that is pretty cool. If Informix did it, we might not have to reorg as much. In my case, specifically we have finally started using SAP's archiving process(es). This has allowed us to archive 75GB+ of data out of our production database. For me to get this freespace back, I have to reorg the table (yes, this is from one table). If IDS automatically freed unused extents, other tables in this dbspace could continue to grow without me adding chunks, or without me doing a reorg to get that space back. Please advise as to where the "future release" suggestion box is.... Hi Norma Jean. I don't know if this is one of those items scheduled for 9.5; however, the only way I know to get a "feature request" recorded is to open a case and have the engineer create a "feature request" in the same area as bugs are recorded. Supposedly, there are some engineers that review the items created in such a manner and, depending upon the time needed to implement, actually work on these things from time to time. Take care.
