7.22 NT backups to a tape device on another NT server

Does anyone have any experience with onbar?? I've ordered the documentation set, but it hasn't arrived. (Online docs suck...) I've been going under the assumption that onbar would allow me to backup to a tape device on another box. I've spoken to the local Informix guys here, who have spoken to other Informix guys somewhere else, and nobody seems to know what's really going on. I am aware of third party tools (BMC, Legato, etc) that claim to support this, but from what I've seen by the time you've bought their products and the robotic tape systems they seem to require, you've dropped 50 grand minimally. All I want to do is be able to backup the databases on remote servers locally. I can't trust the yahoos at the remote sites to do this, I need to make sure this gets done. But I'm having a tough time trying to get this to work. Also, I was wondering this: 7.22 lets you backup to disk. Would I be able to use an NT backup of an Informix backup to disk?? I'm testing that out now, but any info would be appreciated. Thanks
