numerous checkpoints

Hi, I don't understand reason why checkpoints occur so frequent. From my point of view, there are not any event that initiate a checkpoint (events described in INFORMIX-Online Dynamic Server Administrator's Guide Version 7.1 12-52). Could someone tell me another event, that is not described in the book. Thanks in advance. Saulius, Vilnius, Lithuania
